28-year old Olivia Pinheiro Menacho is the winner of Miss Caribbean Hibiscus 2011

Bolivia wins Miss Caribbean Hibiscus 2011

Miss Bolivia, 28-year old Olivia Pinheiro Menacho, won the title of Miss Caraibes (Caribbean) Hibiscus 2011 during the annual event held in St. Maarten on December 3rd, with the participation of 14 competitors.

Pinheiro, who comes from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, also represented her country at the Miss Universe pageant held in Sao Paulo last September.

The first runner-up was Miss Colombia, Tatiana Najera.

Penacho had been involved in a controversy earlier this year, when media in her country reported that she was over the age limit to compete in the Miss Universe pageant. However, the MUO changed its rules and finally accepted Pinheiro, who was a favorite for the Miss Universe title in Brazil.

Olivia also competed at the Reina Hispanoamericana pageant in 2010, where she was 2nd runner-up.

Congratulations to all the winners!
